1. Can it meet 504/IEP accommodations? If so, how?

Yes. Better Choices Education is designed to support 504 and IEP accommodations.

• Our platform allows districts to implement accommodations such as extended time, alternative pacing, read-aloud audio narration, simplified text versions, frontloading of vocabulary, and visual-support enhancements.
• Additionally, because assignments are delivered individually and not in a group setting, students can complete modules in a quieter, distraction-reduced environment.
• If a student requires a specific modification, our team can work with your staff to ensure the module meets that student's accommodation needs.

2. What is the reading level of the writing in the modules?

The reading level is age-appropriate for each audience—middle school modules and high school modules are written separately to ensure developmental alignment.

• We also have the ability to provide modules in Spanish.
• Additional languages can be supported as needed.

3. Because you would have access to some student info, would you sign our data privacy agreement?

Yes. We will sign your district's Data Privacy Agreement.

• We comply with all relevant federal laws, including FERPA, COPPA, PPRA, and Oklahoma student data privacy requirements.
• A copy of our privacy and security documentation can be provided during the review.

4. Can your program produce a parent-led document that parents can view showing the results of their child? If not, could it be added?

Yes. We already support parent notifications for assigned modules and completed modules.

• This can be expanded to include a parent-facing summary document with lesson results, insights, and completion details if your district would find that valuable.

5. Are the modules behavior-specific (e.g., disrespect, fighting, social media misuse, vaping, bullying, etc.)?

Yes. We offer a catalog of behavior-specific modules addressing a wide range of topics, including disrespect, fighting, social media misuse, vaping, bullying, academic integrity, classroom disruption, and more.

• We will review the full catalog during the meeting.

6. Can data results be pulled to show things like repeat offenders and provide proof of practice with your program?

Yes. The system tracks student usage, module completion, response data, and behavioral history.

• We can generate reports showing repeat offenses, trends, and documentation of interventions completed through our program.

7. If a student returns to ISI and needs to redo a module, how does that module and the questions change or adjust?

Modules are available in multiple levels specifically designed for repeat offenders.

• Each level increases the depth of reflection, content difficulty, and intensity of questioning so students engage more meaningfully each time they repeat a topic.

8. Is there a dashboard for our ISI person to monitor the workflow of students live?

Yes. We provide a real-time monitoring dashboard that allows staff to see student progress live, including:

• Module section currently being viewed
• Loss-of-focus events
• Progress timelines
• Question responses

This allows ISI staff to oversee multiple students simultaneously and ensure productive engagement.

9. Are there any other features you plan to roll out in the future?

Yes. Current development includes:

• PowerSchool integration
• Enhanced real-time monitoring and reporting capabilities
• Expanded content catalog and additional module levels

We also welcome input from your district—new ideas or requests are added to our development roadmap.

10. What is a brief description of the program?

The program is designed to provide students with constructive education around behavioral missteps, fostering accountability and personal growth. It emphasizes how individual actions impact not only the student but also their school environment and broader community.

The curriculum integrates restorative components, social-emotional learning (SEL) strategies, and guided self-reflection to promote meaningful understanding and behavioral change. They are designed to provide easy communication with the teacher about follow up and/or the parents if you so choose to use those options.

11. What do the modules look like?

Each module varies in length but consistently emphasizes the three key areas of impact noted above.

• Students begin with a series of narrated slides, followed by an animation that reinforces the content presented.
• The assessment format progresses by level:
  • Module 1 includes True/False questions
  • Module 2 features multiple-choice questions
  • Modules 3 and 4 combine both formats
• Additionally, the upper-level modules incorporate a brief "podcast-style" segment summarizing the full lesson, followed by a reflective written response.

12. Can you show us and walk us through a series of modules?

Yes — A member of our Better Choices Education LLC team will guide you through the program, review the types of feedback you'll receive.

• We will walk you through the platform from the student perspective, the administrator view, and the teacher/parent reporting side.
• We will also highlight all available features and tools within the system.
